Solar Chill
During the night the Smart Panel Solution goes into cooling mode and chills the supermarket cooling fluid by using radiative cooling and blocking the earth heat radiation.
The earth gives back the heat it collected during the day, and sends the heat back into space. This process is called radiative cooling. It is a natural every night recurring phenomenon. If the earth would not radiate heat during the night, we would be freezing.
Compare it with a heard fire in a freezing dark room. The room temperature is freezing but near the heard fire it is acceptable. The heard fire is the earth and the room the outer space.
Heat always goes from a hot location to a cooler location, the outer sky being the coldest -60 degrees, ( you may recall when flying) all heat radiates to the sky. Not only the earth but everything radiates heat to the sky. The Smart Panel chills the cooling fluids by exposing it to the night sky and blocking the earth heat radiation. Imagine being close to the heard fire one side is warm the other side is cold. This is why crops may freeze on one side, the side facing the sky, although the ambient temperature is above zero degrees.
Now the Smart Panel Solution puts a wall between you and the fire. No direct heat from the fire heats you up and you freeze. The ceiling, the clouds, reflect some earth heat warmth back to you, reducing the freeze a little.
